Death by Sticky Pie

The Basic Pie

The crust is Wal-Mart's graham cracker crust and the filling is Wal-Mart's apple pie filling.

I added unknown quantities of the following:

honey
vanilla
brown sugar
pumpkin pie spice
Smucker's Apple-Cinnamon Topping (About 1/3 of a small jar)

The Topping

1 Keebler graham cracker pie crust, crumbled (never stirred into the rest, just layered)
1/2 bag chopped walnuts (save this for top layer)

(Everything from here on out was heated in a double boiler)

Aprox 2 TBSP Smart Balance Spread
Aprox 1/4 C (possibly 1/2 C) soaked brown sugar (it was hard as a rock last night, so I soaked it for about 24 hours in the fridge)
Aprox 1/3 C honey
Generous helping of Cinnamon
A little more pumpkin pie spice
1/2 large bag chopped walnuts
Vanilla (maybe 1/2 tsp)
Smucker's Apple-Cinnamon Topping (About 1/2 small jar)

After heating this up and stirring constantly until it was all smooth/melted, I did several layers over the apple pie.

Layer 1: 1/2 Heated Mixture
Layer 2: About 1/2 the crumbled pie crust
Layer 3: 1/2 Heated Mixture (leave the sauce remaining)
Layer 4: Most of the plain walnuts
Layer 5: Other half crumbled pie crust
Layer 6: Drizzle remaining heated sauce
Layer 7: A few more plain walnuts for garnish

I love this pie! Sadly, I can't even get through a whole piece of it - it's too rich! But very, very, very yummy. It definitely needs to be toned down, and maybe have a vanilla cream sauce, some vanilla pudding, or some vanilla ice cream or whipped cream or a vanilla mouse added to it. Or possibly something with banana in it. Maybe raisins, I dunno, I just felt like that would actually detract from the "sticky" experience (even though people often put raisins in sticky-buns; I hate that though). Sauce can be put down on a plate first, before placing a piece of the pie on top of it, then more sauce can be drizzled on top of the pie as well.
